About this event

You will likely be familiar with databases commonly used with SQL, something taught a lot in courses in codecademy, but there are others which have their own applications and much better for specific types of jobs!

In this session you will cover the following:

- Key Value (Hands On Included)

- Document

- Graph (Hands on Included)

- Relational

We will also use online sandboxes available for Key Value and Graph, to give you experience in using these types of databases not commonly found in early teaching materials but very important to know about.

I hope this workshop will give anyone who is not familiar with databases the knowledge to judge what type of database is useful across different applications, and to give you the ability to pick out what is best to use in real scenarios you may come across; maybe even being useful to know for interviews for those who are still early in their coding journey!

No pre-requisite knowledge required, or any software setup. I hope to see you at this session and join us on this Introduction to Databases!
