Why is Open-Source so Important?
🛑Open-source is everywhere. If you think you haven’t used open-source, then you are wrong. The mere browser that you use (Chromium / Mozilla) itself is open-source software. It means that their code is free for users to modify and use for themselves and share with others.
🛑It is free and yet so powerful. Open-source drives innovation and creative problem-solving. Collaborative effort is the backbone of open-source.
🛑Open-source contributors, whether beginners or experts get a chance to learn and upgrade their skills.
🛑Opportunities are open to all. You don’t require a degree, or a certificate or a 4 GPA to contribute to open-source. All you require is a basic of language and desire to contribute.
🛑no specific knowledge required. You can learn and contribute together.
The first contribution is the step!🌟
